Online Undergraduate Admission Requirements

There is no application fee to apply to Loyola University New Orleans.

All students must complete a free online application

Applicants with no college credits:

  1. Official high school transcripts or GED
  2. ACT or SAT scores unless the applicant is 22+ years of age or is approved for a waiver

Transfer Applicants:

  1. Official transcripts: Applicants who have previously attended college should submit an official transcript from every postsecondary institution attended.
  2. Transfer applicants with less than 12 semester credit hours must also provide official high school transcripts or GED.

All official transcripts from ALL previous colleges and/or universities along with official test scores, if required, must be mailed to: onlinetranscripts@loyno.edu

NOTE: All college, high school and GED transcripts received by post must be received in the original sealed, unopened envelope from the institution where that coursework was completed for the transcript to be considered official.

Transfer Credits

Transfer credits are individually evaluated to permit maximum transfer of university credits where compatible with Loyola requirements. At least 25 percent of the semester credit hours required for the degree must be earned through instruction offered by Loyola.

Loyola accepts up to 64 credit hours from regionally accredited two-year institutions, and Loyola has articulation agreements with some two-year institutions.
