If you hold a bachelor’s degree and are required by your state to earn additional credits in order to be eligible for licensure in your chosen field, this option is tailor-made for you. The Plus-30 Credit Completion program allows professionals needing credit-hour completion to take up to 30 additional post-baccalaureate credit hours to satisfy professional credentialing requirements.
Students admitted to Plus-30 may select from a wide range of online undergraduate course offerings in any discipline, provided they meet the course criteria, and have not already earned college credit in that course during their baccalaureate degree program. Plus-30 grants credit hours only and does not confer any credential.
State licensing regulations are very specific. Most states now provide online information on the requirements to obtain professional and occupational licenses. Before applying to the Plus-30 Credit-Completion Program, contact the appropriate licensing agency for your state to verify the specific requirements to be eligible to take a licensure exam or apply for a license in your chosen field (search for “State Listing of Professional and Occupational Agencies”). Once you have this information in writing, a Loyola admissions counselor or academic advisor will be able to help you select courses that satisfy the credentialing requirements.
